Startup Platforms Start in Podkarpackie

Start-up Platforms “Start in Podkarpackie”

The main objective of the project is to support the development of startup innovation through a comprehensive incubation programme enabling entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into products or services.

Who can apply?

Applications to the Start-up Platform may be submitted by an individual founder or a team of founders with an innovative business idea that is new at least on a national scale and relates to one of the following sectors: aviation, automotive, construction, IT/ICT.

A condition for participation in the project is the establishment of a capital company based on the submitted innovative idea and its subsequent registration in one of the Eastern Poland voivodeships: Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Świętokrzyskie or Warmińsko-Mazurskie.

What does the recruitment process look like?

Applications to the Start-up Platforms project are submitted after logging into the LSI1420 system available at:

https://lsi1420.parp.gov.pl/

Instructions for completing the application are available HERE.

The submitted idea is subject to an initial formal and substantive assessment carried out by the Qualification Committee, followed by a final assessment conducted by the Expert Panel.

The main assessment criteria used by the Expert Panel include:

  • innovativeness of the concept;

  • competitive advantages;

  • business potential;

  • qualifications of the team responsible for developing the product.

A positive result in the initial assessment is required to proceed to the final evaluation stage.

For founders selected for the incubation process, industry experts will prepare recommendations regarding the scope and type of specialised services needed to develop an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and bring it to market.

Incubation process

The incubation process will last approximately 6 months, with a minimum duration of 3 months and a maximum of 8 months.

Together with the startup and taking into account the recommendations of the Expert Panel, the Incubation Manager will prepare a detailed incubation programme describing the work and activities recommended to refine the idea and develop both the business model and MVP.

Following completion of the programme, an incubation report will be prepared and the developed MVP will be presented during a Demo Day.

Based on the evaluation, the startup will receive a recommendation enabling it to apply for further financial support.

What funding is available?

After completing the incubation process and receiving a positive recommendation from the Platform, the company may apply to the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development for funding of up to PLN 1 million.
