Business Academy for Young People
The main objective of the project is to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting young people aged 18–29 who are unemployed and lost their jobs after 1 March 2020 in starting and running their own businesses.
The project “Business Academy for Young People” is implemented by Stowarzyszenie Integracja i Rozwój in partnership with the Municipality of Kielce / Kielce Technology Park.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund, within the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014–2020, Priority Axis I Labour Market Open to All, Measure 1.2 Support for Young People in the Regional Labour Market, Sub-measure 1.2.1 Support Provided by the European Social Fund.
The project is implemented under an agreement with the Voivodeship Labour Office in Kielce, acting as the Intermediate Body for the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014–2020.
Implementation period: 1 January 2021 – 30 June 2022
A total of 30 people aged 18–29 will receive motivational support aimed at preparing them both substantively and mentally for self-employment. After completing a series of training sessions and receiving a positive assessment, they will be able to apply for a business development grant of PLN 23,000, followed by bridging support averaging PLN 2,000 per month for a period of six months.
The project is open to people who live or study in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, are not registered with a labour office, and lost their employment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic after 1 March 2020.
The recruitment process will begin with an assessment of application forms. Next, participants’ aptitude for running a business will be evaluated during an interview with a career counsellor. The detailed training programme will be developed on the basis of this assessment and tailored to the individual needs and knowledge of each participant.
The 40 highest-scoring applicants will take part in training on entrepreneurship and business plan preparation. From this group, 30 participants who prepare the best business plans will receive funding to start a company, together with six months of bridging support to help them operate the planned business activity.
The business plans will be assessed both formally and substantively by experienced Kielce Technology Park staff and independent experts.
