LEARNDIGISTEAM
School Education in the Context of Digital Competences
LEARNDIGISTEAM (Digital Transformation through STEAM Education in a Safe Environment) is another project implemented by Kielce Technology Park in an international partnership under the Erasmus+ Programme.
Modern education plays a key role in developing human capital in response to the needs of the labour market. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) is an educational approach that integrates science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics to develop students’ knowledge, skills and attitudes.
Today, many countries are incorporating STEAM into their education systems. The learnDIGIsteam project focuses primarily on school education in the context of digital competences. Its main objective is to provide schools with digital teaching tools that make high-quality education more accessible and easier to deliver to students.
The project aims to promote interest in science, technology and mathematics and, most importantly, to improve the quality of education in these areas. It will also support teachers, school principals and other education professionals.
Another objective of the project is to increase the availability of training for teachers in digital teaching methods across Europe and to create a safe Virtual Learning Environment – learnDIGIsteam – serving as a resource centre for practical and innovative educational solutions that complement school curricula.
One of the main benefits of the project will be the development of participants’ teaching skills in the field of STEAM education, which may provide significant value for students in their future professional careers.
What we refer to as DIGITAL STEAM education is intended to transform theoretical knowledge into practical application. LEARNDIGISTEAM places students at the centre of the learning process and actively involves them in education by promoting discovery, experiential learning, problem-solving skills and collaboration, while ensuring the safe use of digital tools.
